1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

Contact & identity data. Name, phone number, email, and (if you provide them) unit #, access notes, gate codes provided for the appointment.
Property & service data. Service address(es), photos or videos you share (e.g., windows, panels, patio), panel counts, window counts/types, surface descriptions, requested dates, job notes.
Operational photos/videos. Before/after images we take to document work quality, access, or damage pre-existence. Faces, license plates, or indoor spaces are avoided or obscured when reasonably possible.
Payment information. Payment method, transaction totals, invoice numbers, and status. Card details are processed by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
Communications. Messages you send via our site, email, SMS, Yelp, Google Business, or other platforms.
Website & device data. Basic analytics such as pages viewed, IP address, browser type, referral source, and cookies/ similar technologies (see “Cookies & Tracking” below).

2. How We Collect Information

  • Directly from you (web forms, email/SMS, phone, chat, in person).

  • From platforms you use to reach us (e.g., Yelp, Google, social media messengers).

  • From publicly available sources (e.g., property listings or satellite imagery) to estimate access/size when you ask us for a remote quote.

  • Automatically via our website analytics (cookies, log data).

3. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide quotes and perform services. Creating itemized estimates (e.g., windows by count/type; panels by count; pressure washing by area/material), scheduling, routing, and job execution.

  • Document service quality & safety. Taking limited before/after photos or videos for quality control, proof of work, and to resolve questions or disputes.

  • Communicate with you. Confirmations, reminders, service updates, invoices/receipts, and responses to questions.

  • Improve and secure our operations. Training, quality checks, analytics, and fraud/abuse prevention.

  • Comply with legal obligations. Tax, accounting, insurance, and regulatory requirements.

  • (Optional) Show results in our marketing. With your permission, we may use de-identified or approved images on our website or social pages. You may withdraw permission at any time (see “Your Choices”).

4. Photos & Videos Policy (Important)

  • Operational use: We may capture limited before/after images focused on the work area (e.g., glass pane, frame, track, panel surface, patio section). We avoid faces, interior rooms, mail, or other sensitive content when reasonably possible.

  • Marketing use: We may take before/after photos or videos of our work for quality control and training. From time to time, selected images may also be used in our marketing materials. We take care to avoid showing personal or identifying details of your property.

  • Takedown: If you believe an image reveals more than necessary, contact us and we will review and remove or blur as appropriate.

  • Third-party cameras: Many properties have doorbell/ security cameras; these are operated by you or the property. We do not control their recordings.

5. Legal Bases (for California & similar jurisdictions)

Where required, we rely on the following bases to process your information: (i) to perform a contract (quotes, scheduling, and service); (ii) legitimate interests (quality control, safety, analytics); (iii) consent (marketing photos, certain cookies); and (iv) legal obligations (tax, insurance).

6. How We Share Information

We share personal information only as needed to operate our business:

  • Service providers. Payment processors, scheduling/dispatch tools, email/SMS services, website/analytics providers, insurers. They may only use your data to perform services for us.

  • Subcontractors (rare/if used). When we engage vetted subcontractors, we share only what is necessary to perform the job (e.g., address, scope, time). We require them to maintain appropriate insurance and follow our privacy expectations.

  • Platforms you use. If you contact us through Yelp/Google or similar, your interaction also follows those platforms’ privacy terms.

  • Legal & safety. To comply with law, enforce our terms, or protect rights, safety, and property.

  • Business transfers. In a sale/merger, your information may transfer as part of the business (subject to this Policy).

We do not sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If this ever changes, we will update this Policy and provide required opt-out mechanisms.

7. Data Retention

We keep information only as long as needed:

  • Quotes & communications: typically 24 months to assist with follow-ups/recurring maintenance.

  • Job records & invoices: up to 7 years for tax/accounting.

  • Operational photos/videos: typically up to 12 months, unless needed longer for quality/insurance/legal purposes; marketing images only with consent and until consent is withdrawn.

  • We may retain minimal records if required by law or to resolve disputes.

8. Your Choices

  • Access, correction, deletion. You may request a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or delete it (subject to legal obligations).

  • Marketing images. You can withdraw any prior consent to publish or keep photos by contacting us; we will remove or cease use.

  • Communications. You can opt out of non-essential email/SMS at any time (instructions in the message or by contacting us).

  • Cookies. See “Cookies & Tracking” for controls.

9. California Privacy Rights (CPRA/CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you may have the right to: (a) know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we collect; (b) request deletion; (c) request correction of inaccurate information; (d) opt-out of sale or sharing (we do not sell/share as defined); (e) limit use of sensitive personal information (we do not collect sensitive categories for marketing); and (f) be free from discrimination for exercising your rights.

How to exercise your rights: See “Contact Us.” We will verify your request (e.g., matching details we already hold). You may also use an authorized agent with valid authorization and verification.

10. Cookies & Tracking

Our website may use necessary cookies (to operate forms and security) and analytics cookies (to understand visits and improve the site). You can control cookies in your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect site functionality. We do not respond to “Do Not Track” signals at this time.

11. Children’s Privacy

Our Services are not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate for a small service business (encrypted payment processing via our provider; device/app access controls; limited internal access on a need-to-know basis). No method is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

13. Third-Party Links

Our site or messages may link to third-party sites (e.g., review platforms). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the new version with an updated “Effective Date.” Material changes will be highlighted for a reasonable period.
